Sermon Title: RETURN TO YOUR FIRST LOVE
Pastor Wazara
“Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.”
Revelation 2:4–5 (NKJV)
KEY MESSAGES
1. RETURN TO YOUR FIRST LOVE ❤️
God’s heart is that we return to the place of our first love. Remember where you have fallen, repent and do the first works.
Revelation 2:4–5 (NKJV)
2. KNOW WHO YOU ARE 👤
God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. We have at least 20 spiritual endowments — the remote controls of everything on earth — and God wants us to have them.
2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
3. BE KINGDOM MINDED 👑
Seek first the Kingdom of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
Matthew 6:33 | Colossians 3:2 (NKJV)
4. OCCUPY YOUR TERRITORY 🌍
We must occupy the earth until Christ returns. We all have territory — at work, in business, at school, in our families. Seek God’s direction for your children. What is God-given cannot be opposed when you are in it because of His enduring grace.
Joshua — cross reference
5. WALK IN THE POWER OF GOD ⚡
We want to be a church of power that manifests God’s power in all areas, turning events based on the doctrine of God.
1 Corinthians 2:4–5 (NKJV)
6. CALL OUT FALSE TEACHERS ⚠️
Be discerning and call out false apostles. We are created for good works which were prepared beforehand for us.
Revelation 2:2 (NKJV)
7. USE YOUR RESOURCES FOR THE KINGDOM 💰
We must use money and resources to bring people into the Kingdom of God, like the Good Samaritan.
8. READ AND HEED REVELATION 📖
We must all read the book of Revelation. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
Revelation 1:3; 22:6–7 (NKJV)
9. RESTORATION IS POSSIBLE 🔄
God is extending grace for restoration. Measure the distance you have fallen, repent, and go back to what you used to do in your first love.
Revelation 2:5 (NKJV)
10. THE REWARD 🌳
If we overcome, we will eat from the Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God — what we lost in the garden will be reinstated.
Revelation 2:7 (NKJV)
⸻
GO BACK.
BE RESTORED.
WALK IN POWER.
“To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”
Revelation 2:7 (NKJV)
